Full Moon in Capricorn – July 3rd, 2023

Capricorn- an earth sign that rules work ethic, focus, and persistence. When the moon is full in this sign, these themes can be a bit amplified! This moon transit is a great opportunity for rituals or intention setting involving career, abundance, and purpose. You may also feel some of the harder aspects involving Capricorns tendency to be “the boss”- sometimes leaving you questioning your self worth, or dealing with issues related to productivity. These next two weeks will provide you a clear mind to focus in on what needs to be done- areas of your life that are lacking will become more apparent, while you may also reap extra rewards where you’ve worked hardest at.

A full moon often brings some kind of revelation, or clarity. The bright, full, shining moon is a great symbol of illumination, on both a physical and spiritual level. Think of it as turning the lights on- this moon is shining upon your drive and success. Capricorn is very concerned with where they stand in the world- they aim to win! What does winning mean to you? For some, success is directly correlated to money. For others, it could relate to a dream job, a family, a relationship, a cozy home, a thriving garden… success means something different to everyone. Take time in these next two weeks to really figure out what it means to you.

Light your sage to cleanse the area and yourself- then you can light your candle and hold the crystal. Meditate for as long as you need, and start visualizing a “successful” life- what does it look like to you? Does it match the trajectory you’re on now? You don’t need to have all the answers- you may see symbols, words, or feel certain emotions, these are all valid ways of visualizing!

Over the next few weeks, make sure you are acting and thinking in ways that align with your vision of success. Are you putting the work into the things you want? Are you in the right line of work? Are you doing the best you can? Are you using your free time wisely?

You may choose to keep your scroll with you, or in a safe place. An altar, a closet, wherever speaks to you. Some people burn them, or bury them, or throw them in a body of water. Whatever you do, please do so safely and consciously.
